After the somewhat light hearted hi-jinks of episode 9, things turn a bit darker this week. We've had quite a few self-contained episodes in a row, but with episode 10 the Sukeban Deka II series turns towards its main story arc, involving the mysterious organization known as Seiroukai ("Young Wolf Association") and its enigmatic boss Kage no Soto ("Leader of Shadows"). Certain episodes of SDII are done as tributes to famous movies. For example, the second act of episode 1 has a nod to First Blood, and episode 3 is loosely based on High Noon. In this episode, we're treated to shades of Casablanca.
