Certainly the best translation for both scenes from someone actually watching the context is "Okay!". Any fan is going to be thrown off by 'roger' not being 'ryokai'.
The problem is the belief in Zoomer-gen fansubbers that excessive localization and fakesubbing to use age-like-milk western expressions to bring the scripts down to 12 year-old Dorito eater standards creates fans. Recall all the cool-to-know JP slang that was erased from Roshidere/AlyaRussian being given 4chan terms instead. Ugh. And the Cosplayer jargon in Bisque Doll/Dress-up all removed to give prospective cosplay fans no idea of that there's a lot more fascinating stuff to the subculture over there. The stupidity of presenting Gyaru as Black-American-wannabes, where again it's a very diverse subculture with more slang than anything else. Everyone who lives outside of Honshu being given Southern American expressions. "Totes"? Do even Americans know what that means? It means Gandhi Running Punch Time to me.
Do everyone a favor and have the QC in the team return the terms that gave Anime a lot of its following. Baka.
Yes, I'll just go back to the unpretentious ASW & Eari rips and leave you alone.
