Houshin Engi by Fujisaki Ryuu, 23/23 volumes, complete, ENG scans by SnoopyCool
One of my favourite shounen (Jump) series ever. There's official VIZ version but I think SnoopyCool's fan scanlations should be available as well. As this is early-2000s, this is based on old tankoubon volumes, not the later 18 volumes long bunko edition, nor even later 12 volumes long kanzen edition.
Story was also made into two different anime, Senkaiden Houshin Engi (26 eps, also known as 'Soul Hunter') and Hakyuu Houshin Engi (23+1 eps). Senkaiden diverged after episode 15 and Hakyuu is sadly very rushed, but at least tries to adapt the whole manga.
Nevertheless, enjoy and mata ai-muscle!
LOL Great minds think alike and all because this is one of my absolute favorites too & severely underrated! It's one of those manga I read along side Hunter x Hunter that developed my appreciation for series with protagonists who think tactically to overcome obstacles instead of the usual "brute force" level efforts that a lot of Shonen manga already rely on. Thanks so much for this upload! Doubly so for the reduced file sizes compared to the other upload.
Thanks for nice comments. I am not entirely sure about this but there's a game (Visual Novel / RPG hybrid) called Senkai Taisen -Senkaiden Houshin Engi yori- for PlayStation (there's also another game for PlayStation but that's a "make it yourself" sound novel..). Anyways, Senkai Taisen Hen is the second main arc in Houshin Engi, so it might adapt that arc as well?
Otaku-Sama, yes and no. I noticed the Gaiden wasn't fully translated, only 5/7 chapters but I took liberty of making this: https://mega.nz/file/V2g3xLzY#-c6827X7kwhlszU7hmjbYEJ7M4rzVsg4-tlzeI5s5es - it has the last two chapters as well, albeit in Japanese RAWs.
TYDarlings, I also like how it's a weird mishmash of everything, kinda like Karakuri Circus. :)
