Why are you doing this to me? A: I will use a high-quality source that aims for transparency and, when applicable, also uses filtering to resolve issues presented by the studio/blu-ray. Although using the highest quality source for an encode is typically preferable, with current state of av1, the difference in quality between a blu-ray/remux source and a previously encoded source might not be noticeable.
