FAQ
Q: Why did you use a source from an encode, not from a blu-ray/remux? Why are you doing this to me?
A: Encoders utilize Python programming to create scripts for VapourSynth, which is used for video filtering. Among these encoders, sam stands out with their high-quality results. This expertise leads to video encodes that enhance the visual quality of the original source, fixing issues such as banding and aliasing. For my own video encoding, I opt for a premium source that prioritizes maintaining transparent compression quality while simultaneously using filters to rectify any flaws that might be found in the original studio version or the Blu-ray release

Not that I can really talk, but you guys do know most of the shows you’re doing have readily available source material without needing to re-encoded, right? Though, I can understand if you don’t have the means to download hundreds of GiB of source material. 😂 Either way, continue on, It’s just something I’ve noticed. It would probably give your ““movement”” more credibility in the long run though.

sam does an excellent job filtering, and that I can encode their SAO release into av1 for a smaller size. If I don’t have have the means, then how am I doing my JBBD/remux releases?

Fair enough, I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t admit to saying similar things.
Unless you have a different account, they seem to be rarer than your re-encodes.
Either way, have a nice day.

Sam’s release is still 69.3 GiB. I thought “what if sam’s release, but smaller, using the full capability of av1 in its current state?”
Can’t argue with that!
