Thanks to them for elaborating Chinese subtitles. The source quality is mediocre. Its image style features RGB shift lines and sharpened background textures. The overwhelming amount of grain added during production has not only resulted in blocking artifacts, but has also made the whole image look dirty. We first improved the appearance of line art by descaling. To protect the textural details that have fused into the grain layer, we repaired the flat area without prior degraining, and selectively trimmed down the temporal grain. In the reworked version, we corrected an oversight in chroma plane processing, which caused unwanted blurring near saturated colour edges.
