If you're keen on Japanese idol history, you may know that 1983 wasn't exactly the best year for them to debut as most (if not all) of them were overshadowed by the previous and next year's idols in mostly terms of chart successes (as they call it, a bad harvest). However, they're not bad though and a lot of them are underrated like Yumi here. She really embodies the sound and look of a typical idol (reminds me of Mako Ishino) and they are fun to listen to. Right now, she's still in the entertainment history, but doesn't do singing at all apparently as she focuses on acting and even writing books.
