![Project A-ko 2](https://i.imgur.com/ZdIAilj.jpg) This is a lossless rip of the full original soundtrack for Project A-ko 2: Plot of the Daitokuji Financial Group (1987)... however, it is *not* from the CD! There was an official CD released, but for whatever reason it only included 12 tracks. Later, when they released the OVA on Laserdisc, they decided to include the soundtrack on an extra digital audio track encoded with the disc, listed as the "Music Selection" track. If your player supported it, it could be used to play the film's bare soundtrack instead of the standard analog audio that mixed the music, dialog, and sound effects together to match the video. What was interesting about this audio track is that, on top of containing all 12 tracks from the CD, it also included an additional 6 bonus tracks! The reason why this was done is unknown, but what this means is that this bonus audio track is superior to the CD in terms of music. Unfortunately, having to play music from a Laserdisc is not very convenient, especially since this disc has only became rarer over time, so most people were not aware of this peculiar audio track. However, that all changed when Discotek put out their Blu-Ray of Project A-ko 2. As a bonus they included this "Music Selection" track as an extra audio track in the PCM format to play when watching the OVA, releasing this rare soundtrack to the world in a much more accessible way... that is, except for the fact that having to listen to music by inserting a Blu-Ray is still pretty inconvenient. So, for your listening pleasure, this audio track was ripped from the disc and put into Audacity, where it was then split up into separate lossless FLAC files. What's more, the OVA, and by extension the total length of all the tracks is around 50 minutes long, meaning that this soundtrack can be easily burned to a CD-R. Now you can easily create you own superior version of the soundtrack! Tracklist: 1. My Heart Jumps! Intro to Summer 2. Star Romance 3. Rumors of a Super Girl (Instrumental) 4. My Heart Jumps! Intro to Summer (Instrumental) 5. Star Romance (Instrumental) 6. The Ultimate Mecha Combination!! 7. Papa Daitokuji 8. The Spy 9. Automation - The Nostalgic Retro Robot 10. The Professional 11. thank you very much!!!!
Thanks! I was considering ripping my own disc and I was curious if it actually is 48kHz 24bit or if it was 44.1kHz 16bit original digital source and upconverted. If the source was an analog master tape they should've transferred it in 96kHz or 192kHz. That would've been awesome but its still awesome anyways that they included it. Edit: I just checked and it must've been a digital master since even the original laserdisc version has 20kHz cutoff as well.

@DamianV8501 Yeah, I just more or less maxxed out the settings in Audacity since I wasn't sure what the original quality of the rip was and didn't want to accidentally reduce the audio quality. Audio compression is very smart so exporting a 44.1kHz source to 48 isn't really gonna have that much of an impact on file size or playback compatibility, plus if you burned it to a CD it would just downcovert it anyway.
Thanks for the OST!
