[0v3r] History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi v01-61 (complete) + Gaiden
My previous release, a couple years ago, wasn’t compiled by me, I just added some covers. Missing chapters were found, so I’ve released a second torrent with the volumes that were fixed. I’ve decided to revisit this series, so I’ve unpacked everything and compiled everything myself, giving it the treatment I usually do now: added better and single page covers and removed most of the credit pages. I’ve still found a couple chapters missing, which I’ve added. I’ve also added omakes that weren’t included in the previous release. Enjoy.
Note: in case it’s not obvious, all files were changed, none can be reused to seed this torrent.
Shirahama Kenichi is a book lover who has just entered high school, but he is often bullied by others. One day, he became good friends with the new transfer student, Fuurinji Miu, who was also looking for a friend. Kenichi was shocked at how powerful she is at first, but he is still somehow attracted to her…so he later goes to the dojo of her family and starts a training that will change his life.

Excuse me Mr. but I’ve noticed right now after the download that some volumes haven’t any covers. More exactly the numer 35, 36, 60 and 61. Looking at the volume numer 35 I see that lacks a pair of pages in comparison with the previous release. Could you check it please? In the while I thank you for this new release and wish you well. ;-)

@solarlord: are you sure you’re talking about this release, not my previous? Because all the volumes you mentioned have covers and have no missing pages (except removed credit pages). You can even see the covers in the screenshots above.

@0v3r I’m sure about that Mr. because I’ve saved the previous one in an external hd. I’ve downloaded and saved the files of the last one in my internal hd so I was able to make a comparison between the old one and the new one. Maybe have you replaced the covers and the front pages of the mentioned volumes with a new image file format that isn’t supported by the CDisplayEx? (actually I’m using the last version available, 1.10.33) I’m curious to know if the other users have the same problem.

@solarlord: I’ve checked and it seems CDisplayEx has a peculiar file sorting. Check if the covers don’t appear at the end of the first chapter, instead of the beginning. I think that reader doesn’t show first the image files that have a “_” at the beginning of the file name. I did that to place the first pages of the tankobon at the beginning of this volume with having to rename all the files.
I would try another comic reader (I prefer YAC Reader https://www.yacreader.com/downloads).
But if you want to keep using CDisplayEx, then rename the CBZ file extension to ZIP, then extract all files, rename the files, compress them again to a ZIP file, rename it CBZ.

Really unfortunate how garbage the scan quality is, MangaStream really did a shit job with so many series back then with how they fucked up the details. Hopefully one day someone will upload good quality Raws and this can get the quality it deserves
