The bluray version of episode 12 has ~14 extra lines of dialogue which were translated to Russian some time ago. I used online translators to translate these lines English and edited them to make more sense of it. However, I wasn't confident enough to upload it here. FMA1394 just released their version, and I don't know if they used the same method as I did, but their translation was very similar, so I finally decided to complete this torrent. Edit 22-07-2017 Fully translated v1 of episode 01 released. AMCGrady translated the episode in its entirety with QC done by Tactics and released it under the tag [Storyteller]. Doki already had a good script for the on air scenes of episode 1 in my opinion, so I kept their dialogue and added Storyteller's for the OAD scenes (styled, timed, edited and redone typesetting). I've included Storyteller's original subtitles as a secondary track, with only the styling changed to match the other episodes as well as typesetting added. For the video source I've kept VCB-Studio, whereas Storyteller used Moozzi2. Here's the patch for #01v0 to v1. Now it's just waiting for AMCGrady to translate episode 12 (~1 minute of extra dialogue) and this'll finally be complete. It is oft said that torrents over 2GB are bloated, however, many of the torrents on this site often match the quality and size to reflect that. This torrent is an example of exactly that. So, this is a fully translated hour and twenty-two minutes of pure delight (that’s about twice as long as the aired version), essentially the combined OADs which have not yet been released in English in glorious full 1080p Blu-ray FLAC stereo DTS 5.0 quality. If you haven’t seen the first episode before, this is a perfect entry point, you can skip the aired version and watch this before you continue onto the regular series, if you have already seen the first episode, I’d recommend taking a look through the story notes mentioned below to enhance your experience the second time around. The translation style is one suited to fit the audience of this work, aiming to match for a native English speaker what you would expect a native Japanese person would take from watching the same material as you. AMCGrady has expressed intention of doing episode #12 as well, so I'll do the same for that episode when he has released his version. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 1 is the director's cut version from the bluray, which is the same as the two OAD episodes combined. This episode consists of the double-length first episode from the TV airing with ~40 minutes of extra scenes. Unfortunately, the OAD has never been translated and as such, the director's cut version only has about 50% of the scenes translated (total length is 1h22m). It has been out for over a year and at this point I've given up of ever seeing a translation for it. I really wanted to upload a complete version for this show, but since HorribleSubs is your only alternative I decided to release this as is. I made custom chapters for episode 1 and a notification in the subtitle file whenever an untranslated OAD scene starts (upper right corner). So you can choose to jump to the next chapter and watch only the subbed parts. You will then see the episode as it aired so you're not missing anything of the story. This was the best workaround I could think of. If you want to watch the episode in its entirety and/or the notification annoys you, I added a second subtitle track to episode 1 without the notification and a hidden set of regular chapter markers. Episode 12 is also an extended episode, but with only one scene that has untranslated dialogue if I remember correctly. I left it as is.
