Thank you everyone for your support over the years, and I wish you all the best!**  ___ **- 1080p -** Audio Track 1 (Default): English 5.1 FLAC Audio Track 2: Japanese 2.0 FLAC Subtitle Track 1 (Default): English Signs & Songs (.ASS) Subtitle Track 2: English Dialogue [BlurayDesuYo/SCY] (.ASS) ___ Dual-audio release featuring my own 1080p encodes and modified BlurayDesuYo subtitles. Filtering: anti-aliasing, dehaloing, adaptive denoising, debanding, adaptive grain. Purely looking at video quality, Attack on Titan has never looked worse. The Japanese Blu-ray is bitrate-starved compared to all previous seasons (25 mbps), and the entire image is horribly oversharpened and suffers from haloing and heavy aliasing. A clean rescale does not appear to be possible. Unfortunately, part 2 of this season is no different and it features the same oversharpened look. With the poor bitrate in mind, I opted to wait for Dynit's Blu-ray instead. It boasts a welcome 10 mbps video bitrate advantage over the Japanese Blu-ray and looks [noticeably better](https://slow.pics/c/Shyxfy8n) in almost all (dark) action scenes, where higher bitrate actually makes a visible difference. Less blocking, noise, banding, better detail retention, etc. As for the haloing and aliasing, there's no easy alternatives to fall back on. Convential filtering is the only obvious approach, but its effectiveness is limited when you come across scenes like [this one](https://i.imgur.com/6bSeKHb.png) where the line-art hardly even *resembles* line-art. Even so, most of the fine aliasing and haloing has been taken care of. Subtitles: modified BlurayDesuYo, as per usual. Restyled dialogue to match prior seasons, added a few missing fades and italics, fixed a couple of errors and more. Many thanks to basheer_naimi for the QC. As with season 3, I removed all the kanji from the midcards by hand. Unless you have tens of hours to spare, I don't recommend doing this (just grab the midcards from these encodes instead).
