Thank you Impakt for Uploading these! I will only be able to seed these when I get a new hard drive and finish backing up the one that this will be downloaded to. I just had a hard drive failure and I lost quite a bit of data as well that I spent countless hours on. So I am going to pay what it costs to have the data recovered since it will take less time to work to make that money than to redo everything. I just finished going through all the torrents I missed since the end of November. I usually check nyaa at least once a day, but a project I was working on has taken up every moment of my time and attention and I haven’t checked nyaa since then until a few days ago. So it was a really nice surprise to see the last 2 SV Boxes uploaded by you. I was hoping maybe you (or someone who checks nyaa daily for Dragon Ball related uploads) remember and could tell me if there were any significant or rare/first time Dragon Ball related torrents uploaded to nyaa then removed soon after since the end of November until now? For example like when the Dragon Ball Broadcast audio was removed shortly after being uploaded due to too many negative coments (luckily someone restored it). I imagine that the torrent would have had to have been removed soon after uploading for anyone to notice, so if you don’t recall anything like that, that’s good enough for me. What got me thinking about that is that Team Mirrolo mentioned in their latest Broadcast Audio release that Kei17 released some new Fuji TV broadcast audio recently in 2021, but the only upload I see is a batch of unsynced Broadcast audio from Team Mirrolo that includes Kei17’s Fuji TV audio http://nyaa.si/view/1471529 But all the audio is converted to 16bit and I don’t know if the audio from Kei17 was originally 24/32 bit. I would love to have that. My OCD is giving me a bit of stress about possibly missing that or other rare/significant uploads, and it would be nice to be certain of that either way. I wish nyaa had a forum to ask these types of questions.

The most important, in my opinion, are the [AnimeMaakup batches](https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=AnimeMaakuo). While they're not removed, they are mostly unseeded not surprisingly as this is Nyaa and that's what eventually happens.
@mrbean There has been nothing of consequence released besides niche stuff. Kei did dump some BA but it was not released publicly, so the big dump Mirolo posted is what you want. All Mirolo did was organize everything (having seen the original files, you're not missing anything). They also re-released their Z audio torrent with most of the newer audio DBOX synced: https://nyaa.si/view/1471102. Keep in mind imo having raw BA is useless because it's not synced to anything, so what are you going to do with it? All the Maakuo shit is disorganized af and most of the important stuff has been re-organized and redistributed in other torrents since then. I find that if you tell people what it is you're uploading, and you're not uploading shit, then stuff will stay seeded here.

That sounds like a threat. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Folks ought to know to seed to help one another.
>a threat sir I was calling out all the rando releases with no descriptions, not you
Now I have them all. Thank you , Great Impakt
Thanks Impakt & iKaos. That helps. I should have just checked nyaa at least once a week. @Impakt I got all the animemaakuo batches when they were released. Whenever I get all my stuff organized, eventually I will be reuploading most of them in a way that is interesting, but I also still need to finish working on some of that as well. I’m doing some projects and whenever I will finish organizing (maybe even another year) I will be able to start uploading some of the work I have been doing. @iKaos You said: "raw BA is useless because it’s not synced to anything, so what are you going to do with it?" If it is in higher than the 16 bit that Team Mirrolo released, such as 24 bit which sounds better to my ears, then that is not useless. I have no problem syncing the audio myself if I have to when I am ready to do that. For now I have all of the original broadcast audio 16/24/32 bit that Team Mirrolo used and which has also been shared. When I am ready, I plan to sync any 24/32 bit audio available for Dragon Ball and DBZ that hasn’t been already synced & shared in that quality, and I will save it in 24 bit flac. For example Team mirrolo’s DBZ audio is all converted to 16 bit. But I download it to use for now, and his audio syncs will also help me by matching the 24 bit audio to it as well as other needed info to complete the task. I think it was Audacity that has an option to process 2 audio tracks that are identical but have a different sync than each other and it automatically syncs one to the other. But I never tried it and don’t know if that would work the way I would want it to. So I may have to do it manually if nobody else does it by the time I want it done. I think the broadcast audio deserves to be kept in the highest quality after syncing. Also by having these things I can share them with anyone who wants them later when they are no longer accessible anywhere. I feel the need for things to be a certain way because of my OCD I guess.
@mrbean For an audio source to be worth even 16-bit it needs to have a maximum signal to noise ratio of 96db (24-bit requires 144 db), however both VHS and Beta top out at around 70db (theoretically 80db for hi-fi VHS) per format standards (meaning in reality even 12-bit would be acceptable). So while the BA may have been captured from the VHS in 24-bit, it's really just padding. Mirolo knew this which is why they always release their syncs in 16-bit as anything higher is actual bloat. The same goes for 48khz as none of the broadcast towers broadcast above 14khz - the files are just left in 48khz for compatibility. If you are hearing a difference between 16-bit and 24-bit BA then it's either placebo or your DAC is "upsampling" it poorly. Note that I did ask about this in our Discord server before responding to you, so this isn't just me talking it's also people who know things about audio. I know I've told you to join in the past as that's probably the closest thing to the "Nyaa forum" that you're looking for. Anyway I don't mean to clutter up these comments further with things irrelevant to the torrent.
Sorry Impakt, but I would like to respond just once more. @iKaos, I'm pretty sure it was the SoM discord you mentioned, but I thought it no longer exists. I see now that you show a discord link in your latest torrent. Thanks for letting me know. I've heard what you said many times. I took a crappy college level 6 month intensive course in "computer assisted sound design". So I do know something about digital audio. I have a Nuendo DAC with Steinberg Nuendo software with an $800 sound card. I am lacking much knowledge and cannot argue the debatable 16bit vs 24bit audible difference. But there are other things about bit depth that can matter. Also converting from 24bit to 16bit can introduce quantization noise from rounding errors, and therefore quality loss. Converting 48khz to a lower sample rate may resample at other locations than the original samples and loose quality. 28khz sample rate is only the minimum needed to digitally represent all frequencies in a 14khz broadcast signal. A higher sample rate will still more accurately represent the signal since all the info between the samples is lost. Even if higher frequencies have been cut off, the rest of the signal continues to benefit from 48khz sample rate. The difference I can hear is very small. I notice it in the highest frequencies in quieter parts. A good example is AnimeMaakuo's DBZ Episode 1 broadcast audio (uploaded 24bit & 16bit). Right at the start of the episode after the opening song has finished, where you hear the birds chirping with a soft melody playing, I am able to detect a certain clarity in the birds chirping that opens up my ears (less blocked feeling) to the highest frequencies. My ears are very sensitive. I had to quit a my job once due to a high frequency sound coming from a security device on the ceiling directly above where I was assigned to work. Nobody else could hear it.
@mrbean > A good example is AnimeMaakuo’s DBZ Episode 1 broadcast audio (uploaded 24bit & 16bit) I caution this as an example because we have no idea how Maakuo converted his audio to 16-bit. Indeed if you don't do it properly, you can introduce dithering and other things, as you said. You also have to make sure you're comparing the same audio from the same signal source (as opposed to Tokai vs Ishikawa). Mirolo took steps to ensure that dithering was not introduced, as shown in their tutorial video. Beyond that it's a moot point as none of us have the original WAVs for the Fuji audio anymore.
Thanks, those are good points. Now I am completely uncertain about being able to hear the difference. I only compared AnimeMaakuo's audio, Ishikawa 32bit float 96khz vs Ishikawa 16bit which now I don't even remember if it was 48 or 96 khz. I compared only those files since I had to make a choice to erase the 16 bit versions. I'm happy with the 16bit copies of the new Fuji audio since that is all that was ever uploaded publicly. @Impakt I'm curious if you used ImgBurn to convert the BDMV/CERTIFICATE folders to ISO, or did you download them as ISO?
