This is a rip from my own collection, I first uploaded it to SkyeySnow to get some ratio so I figured I would upload it here too. Includes the drama CD as well. No scans because my scanner is complete garbage.
About my own releases, I’m looking to at least do encodes of the other Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei seasons at some point, but I’m a dumbass and I just can’t figure out how to output VFR video with Vapoursynth. Also filtering them is probably going to be a nightmare. If anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it.

https://lvsfunc.encode.moe/en/latest/#lvsfunc.deinterlace.TIVTC_VFR like this you mean?

It does all the analysis but it ends up outputting to x264 with 25% of the frames gone, almost as if it thinks it’s 24fps when it’s actually mostly 30fps. I’m not sure if I have some setting wrong, or if it’s because I’m using some weird remux from rutracker as the source lol. y4m seems to think it’s CFR 25/1 fps for some reason.

well what x264 directly outputs is irrelevant. you have to mux the timecodes file that’s created with the video to get it to actually be VFR.

even in the vs preview there’s large chunks of video missing every few seconds
herkz
well i’d have to see your script to say for sure

I haven’t done anything else other than IVTC yet, I probably missed something idk

the problem is probably ffms2. it doesn’t like interlaced h264 video. try lsmash.

oh and i assume you ran tfm first to generate the matches and metrics? if not, yeah, you gotta do that

lsmash worked perfectly, thank you! also yeah I did do the first pass
