About me: I want to introduce myself, I am a new music uploader which can be nicknamed "KrYzZ2K / K2K". As a first release or personal rip, I bring you this Soundtrack that I really like and I hope you like it too. I am aware of the controversy, debate or format war that exists between forums and audiophile communities. That is why I decided to rip this CD in uncompressed WAV format as a test, with the aim of knowing your opinions about it. Personally, this is how I like to rip but I know that everyone has their own tastes and I respect that. If you like this content, there is a possibility to bring you more as long as you are willing to give a small donation for my effort. It all depends on you. Best regards. Does not fill up missing offset samples with silence (-5 points) Track 23: Missing sample(s) found (-20 points) Your rip could use some work. I won't even begin to get into why ripping to WAV vs FLAC is just a dumb idea but that's fine. There will be no convincing someone who is so stubborn. Also I hope you get a scanner one day, the scans you provided from vgmdb are pretty horrible. Lastly, "If you like this content, there is a possibility to bring you more as long as you are willing to give a small donation for my effort. It all depends on you" That's a big yikes from me..
Why do you have to add "untouched" as if using a lossless compression format of any kind would damage it in any way? That choice of words is pointless romanticism over a decades-old digital format that can't even support basic metadata tags on its own (or anything unicode), in fact it's borderline delusion. Here's a news flash, times have changed, as have hardware & software, it's not hard to playback any lossless compression format with high compatibility rates on any decent hardware or media player. Plus, anyone who isn't fooled by snake oil knows that there isn't any difference in audio content whatsoever between different lossless formats (compressed or uncompressed). Convert between lossless all you want, you're still getting the exact same audio data (and checksum for the formats that support it). Another thing is that this wording is frankly insulting towards the makers of lossless compression formats, as they worked painstakingly to not go down the same path as MP3 & reduced the file size while maintaining every last bit of audio, meanwhile people like you & others who fall for this variant of snake oil really don't have a clue of anything that's going on behind the scenes with these formats. You're not doing anything special here m8, why should anyone donate to you if it's not going only to CD's anyway? Plus, why would you intentionally go for the one format that doesn't support metadata? To give the people downloading it more work to do? If you were going to go with an uncompressed PCM format anyway you would have done a lot better with AIFF as it doesn't have that weakness (although it would still be bloat). Why should anyone support your own variant of snake oil? If you need WAV/AIFF, just convert FLAC or any other lossless compression codec to those formats, nothing happens. FLAC isn't superior or inferior in sound, just the same. Peace.
people do what they want. suck it up.

@Sheldonsuckz "Does not fill up missing offset samples with silence (-5 points)". I consider that this "silence" somehow affects the result of the final product, from my point of view of course. "Track 23: Missing sample (s) found (-20 points)". No audio track indicated an error when extracting it with the EAC. I think you are getting confused or what are you based on to say that? "Your rip could use some work." Well, here it only remains for me to clarify that no RIPs are perfect. I will continue working to obtain better results. "I won't even begin to get into why ripping to WAV vs FLAC is just a dumb idea but that's fine." It is natural for any audiophile to have different ideas or tastes than others. Of course it is not stupid, you just have to respect the opinions of others and we will not get into trouble. "There will be no convincing someone who is so stubborn." I think that argument is raised a bit in tone. Moderate it. "Also I hope you get a scanner one day, the scans you provided from vgmdb are pretty horrible." I also hope one day to get my own scans. The VGMdb scans are bad, but it's better than nothing and that's to be appreciated. He gave me valuable information that thanks to those scans I now have the CD. "That’s a big yikes from me…" I don't know what you mean by that. Greetings from Mexico.

@T_F_C12 "Why do you have to add“ untouched ”as if using a lossless compression format of any kind would damage it in any way?". I am not saying that a lossless compression format would harm it in any way, you are saying it yourself. I add "untouched" to mean that it is a direct extraction of the CD without compressing it or changing the format. That's all. "That choice of words is pointless romanticism over a decades-old digital format that can’t even support basic metadata tags on its own (or anything unicode), in fact it’s borderline delusion.". Well, I clarify that the .wav format already has support for metadata in case you had not heard. Dig a little bit and you will notice that the format continues with updates. I leave you this capture that I made in the MP3 Tagger: http://prntscr.com/15o0iz1 "Plus, anyone who isn’t fooled by snake oil knows that there isn’t any difference in audio content whatsoever between different lossless formats (compressed or uncompressed) .." The difference between audio formats under the same technical characteristics is almost insignificant that some classify it as absurd, but no matter how minimal it is, there is a difference (sometimes inaudible for some). "Convert between lossless all you want, you're still getting the exact same audio data (and checksum for the formats that support it) .." The checksum is simply an algorithm that can be manipulated or hacked without the need for much experience in the field. If, according to you, converting between lossless formats gives the same result, I invite you to convert between .wv, .tta, .tak, .flac, .au, .ape, .alac, .aiff, .wav,. w64, .caf and others more than one by one. "... meanwhile people like you & others who fall for this variant of snake oil really don't have a clue of anything that's going on behind the scenes with these formats." The point here is to respect the opinions and tastes of each one, as I told @sheldonsuckz.

@T_F_C12 "You're not doing anything special here m8, why should anyone donate to you if it's not going only to CD's anyway ?." Nothing is free in this life friend. The CD itself, the burner unit (LG GH22NS50), the external hard drive and its adapter to be a seeder cost me money. It would be a complete stupid if I would upload more content like that for free. At the same time, I gave myself the task of adding metadata and regulating the sound level. "Why should anyone support your own variant of snake oil?" It is a matter of each one based on his ideologies. "If you need WAV / AIFF, just convert FLAC or any other lossless compression codec to those formats, nothing happens." If so, then why the hell are we fighting? "FLAC isn't superior or inferior in sound, just the same." In that if he is correct. Peace too. Greetings from Mexico.

"No audio track indicated an error when extracting it with the EAC. I think you are getting confused or what are you based on to say that?" if you open your own log file that you provided and scroll all the way to the bottom. There is a very nice line that states: "There were errors" I mean you provided the log file which indicates there are errors. I guess you just missed that part.
That metadata you posted isn't unicode, which isn't going to work in WAV files. Also you need apps like MP3tag to force tags on WAV because unlike other formats it doesn't support them natively & seamlessly. So call back when you can use Windows Explorer to edit WAV metadata. Actually unless your device is low power or outdated, there's zero audible difference in content or playback between uncompressed PCM and lossless compression files. Go ahead, use Audacity to compare PCM and any lossless compression format of your choice you converted that file to (via Phase inversion or just spectral checking), and you'll see that it's exactly the same thing. M8 I do this kind of conversion & comparison stuff all the time with more than half of those lossless formats you mentioned, it always turns up exactly the same. Whether comparing with Foobar (Bit Compare) or Audacity (Phase Inversion), nothing changed even if a WAV file directly ripped like that from CD was converted across formats 7 times. Even converting back to WAV from the last format gave me the same file size & everything as the original WAV rip. MD5 checksum was the same too for FLAC, TAK, and WV. This stuff isn't hard, you just need to know what you're doing and how you're doing it. The issue we have with you is that you're the same guy who was bothering one of our guys in a server for a re-do his rip of a 10 CD package when there was absolutely nothing wrong with it as it was, even going as far as to offer him money to do it. There's absolutely no difference in audio whatsoever converting lossless to lossless (they even cancel each other out once one of the tracks is flipped), so why didn't you just leave him be? And now you want him to get dbPowerAmp? For what reason?
https://mega.nz/folder/UwpAXKKD#oolC6fP4w1UB9-FhogNJDQ dedicated to T_F_C12 who could've spent his or her time converting the WAV files to FLAC him/herself in the amount of time writing the above paragraph boasting about his/her knowledge rather than appreciating the uploader who offered his time and resources all for free.

" Well, I honestly hadn't checked the log in its entirety, just up to track 3 thinking the report was perfect. But I do not know why that error is due since it does not specify. I don't know if he was referring specifically to track 23, which is as you say. Anyway I will try to use dbpoweramp next time to include AccurateRip and CURTools DB to make work more presentable. he's just copy-pasting results obtained from this log checker tool or some variant of it, hence the rather stupid point deductions https://github.com/doujincafe/hbcl

@ T_F_C12 "That metadata you posted isn’t unicode, which isn’t going to work in WAV files. Also you need apps like MP3tag to force tags on WAV because unlike other formats it doesn’t support them natively & seamlessly." I do not know if it is unicode or not but the point here is that several multimedia players (such as Foobar2000, JRiver, WMP, MPC-HC which are the ones I have) are able to read the metadata that I add without problems. THAT'S WHAT IS IMPORTANT, ISN'T IT? If MP3Tag forced the addition of metadata, the interface would notify me. Attached capture: http://prntscr.com/15rhoq1, http://prntscr.com/15rhuxm, http://prntscr.com/15ri8nd "So call back when you can use Windows Explorer to edit WAV metadata." I'm not sure what version of Windows operating system you have, but I remember when I had Windows 7 Ultimate I had this problem years ago. So I just searched the web and found this extension for the Windows shell called "AudioShell". With that he solved the problem. http://prntscr.com/15rcl0e But now that I upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, I download the dbpoweramp and it brings its own extension for the windows shell. https://prnt.sc/15rh8hv Also, nowadays who would use Windows Explorer? There are currently better file explorers like Total Commander or Dopus. http://prntscr.com/15rhfaq "Actually unless your device is low power or outdated" All my team works perfectly. "Go ahead, use Audacity to compare PCM and any lossless compression format of your choice you converted that file to (via Phase inversion or just spectral checking), and you'll see that it's exactly the same thing." The spectrometer only helps you on certain occasions. It does not verify the authenticity graphically speaking. In this case I prefer to check the audio files with a hexadecimal editor (like WinHex; apart from that here you can see the metadata) and see the information carefully.

@T_F_C12 "Even converting back to WAV from the last format gave me the same file size & everything as the original WAV rip." The weight of the original wav file will always appear because the converters take a rule for each format. In the case of wav, it is "1min = 10MB". Even if you download an album in MP3 and directly convert it to WAV, it will give you the original weight of the track on the CD. But obviously a true audiophile would know that THERE IS NO WAY TO RECONSTRUCT ALREADY LOST DATA. "MD5 checksum was the same too for FLAC, TAK, and WV" As I had told you in the previous comment (you seem not to understand me), the checksum is an algorithm that can easily be HACKED (MD5, SHA1, SHA256, CRC) "The issue we have with you is that you're the same guy who was bothering one of our guys in a server for a re-do his rip of a 10 CD package when there was absolutely nothing wrong with it as it was, even going as far as to offer him money to do it. " Do you want me to repeat it? The reason why I rip this way is because I LIKE IT. I do not take into consideration the opinion of others because the benefit to oneself comes first. Also, nothing in this life is FREE friend (this ripping is just a test). This ripping for pleasure and uploading it is called PIRACY. Out of curiosity, could you tell me which server you mean? "so why didn't you just leave him be?" The path of a true audiophile never ends. I have 7 years of experience in this and I keep learning new things. "And now you want him to get dbPowerAmp? For what reason ??". The dbpoweramp is just a cd ripper just like the EAC, even more powerful. Is there anything wrong with updating or making changes? Best regards.

@Galgadr "than appreciating the uploader who offered his time and resources all for free." I think that's a compliment? If so, thank you very much. "he’s just copy-pasting results obtained from this log checker tool or some variant of it, hence the rather stupid point deductions" That is if I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you be clearer? Best regards.
@Galgadr Butt out m8, you've got no idea what you're talking about here, I have no interest in what he's uploaded to begin with. He's literally the guy you should be saying this to instead because he's the one [who had the gall](https://i.imgur.com/vjDnog2.jpg) to post [this](https://i.imgur.com/jWjMSMg.jpg) to a guy me & Sheldonsuckz know on Squid & in our server. And I don't know why you fail to see the signs of audiophoolery on display here. @KrYzZ Look, if you want to bloat your own system, be my guest, but don't be asking people who take time to rip stuff to a lossless compression format (as you did in the images I linked) to do it all over again & bloat theirs just because they didn't do it in the way you like. Also, I'm already in a group with the same guy who first replied to you, want to know how he does so many uploads with excellent scans? It's not donations, all that I & others give him go to CD purchasing only, he gets the rest of the equipment you speak of himself. He uploads all this stuff practically for free as well & seeds it too, don't know what he does that you can't. There's a reason he's a trusted uploader. So I don't really need anything you upload, and even if I did, converting it would be no problem for me since I'm not bound by any sort of placebo. BTW you have to change the picture off-site as it's associated with your email. This site has no control over that.
-What I mean by using Windows Explorer is that WAV is literally one of the oldest digital formats & it should have been able to be edited by WE right from the beginning, the fact that it can't be while more recent formats can is telling. If you have to use an extension or a 3rd party program to do this for the most compatible audio format, then you have a problem. Besides, metadata application isn't always consistent with WAV, such as when converting to it. Unicode is non-latin characters BTW. -It's not just the spectrometer I'm talking about, but since you're focusing on that alone it tells me you don't know what phase inversion is. Unlike spectral checking, it's actually audible. -I know that converting even lossy formats to any lossless format will give the same file size (& bit rate) as those, but that's not what I used. "THERE IS NO WAY TO RECONSTRUCT ALREADY LOST DATA." Then isn't it fortunate that I'm using lossless compression formats only, y'know, that happen to not alter the audio data in any such way? You can thank me for that later. -And you seem to not understand me. No checksum was altered, if it was then there's no point having it. I also don't know how to edit said checksums either so don't know why you're bringing that up. -Don't get the wrong idea, I wasn't talking about you or your rips, but about the guy you asked on Squid Boards (the site & server I'm talking about, he's also in the same one as me & @Sheldonsuckz) to re-do his whole BlazBlue sound collection because it was in FLAC instead of WAV. What was wrong with the way he did it to you? The only time there's a difference would be if it was a lossy rip (MP3/AAC/OGG) but last time I checked, FLAC wasn't one of them. How hard is it for you to understand what lossless means? Once you've reached lossless tier, as long as the sample rate is 16/44.1, all the results won't have any difference in audio data content whatsoever (minus decoding & encoding but that isn't the point here). It's all bit-perfect & you can't prove otherwise.
Gee. The Sheldonsuckz/HAYAKU cult members are always so angry aren't they. I'm only talking about this torrent and this torrent only. WAV and FLAC have no difference in data whatsoever as you said earlier. There's no auditory difference either. I don't see what the problem is then. The only error this individual seemed to have missed is of a minor setting on EAC which could've been brought up with a friendly comment. There's no need to be so confrontational, nor is there a need to rate someone's rips on a point based system created by some private tracker mods on a completely different torrent site. Different turf, different rules. And as far as I know, Nyaa doesn't have rules on how to rip CDs, so deal with it.

@ T_F_C12 I don't know where you got those captures from but it can be clearly seen that I ask that user to do a special job in exchange for a monetary sum. There is a problem with that?. "Look, if you want to bloat your own system, be my guest, but don't be asking people who take time to rip stuff to a lossless compression format (as you did in the images I linked) to do it all over again & bloat theirs just because they didn't do it in the way you like. " I never said that his work was bad (tell this user to give you more screenshots of our conversation). I only asked him to make a different VERSION than the one he already has, without deleting the original of course. Also, why the hell are you speaking for him? LET HIM COME HERE TO FIX THIS. Is he aware of this fight? This issue is fixed on SquidBoard, not Nyaa. "Also, I'm already in a group with the same guy who first replied to you, want to know how he does so many uploads with excellent scans?" I don't currently own a scanner, so I can't tell you what is good and what is bad in that regard. "It's not donations, all that I & others give him go to CD purchasing only," That's my idea too buddy, since these anime / game CDs are imported and you don't get them for $ 5 like artist discs at a local CD store. "I uploads all this stuff practically for free as well & seeds it too, don't know what he does that you can't." Each country, community or family has a different economic status. Currently if I find it difficult to get a scanner for example or upload more content like that periodically. "There’s a reason he’s a trusted uploader." If they give me a chance, I can be too. "So I don't really need anything you upload, and even if I did, converting it would be no problem for me since I'm not bound by any sort of placebo." Well, you are not the only user in all of Nyaa and Squid who downloads this type of content. If I don't count on you, I'll simply count on others.

@ T_F_C12 "BTW you have to change the picture off-site as it’s associated with your email. This site has no control over that." Could you guide me to do that? I no longer remember how I did it xD. "What I mean by using Windows Explorer is that WAV is literally one of the oldest digital formats & it should have been able to be edited by WE right from the beginning, the fact that it can't be while more recent formats can is telling . " The philosophy of Microsodt (creator of the original .wav file; there are many technically modified versions such as the EBU RF64) is to lay the foundations of the programming but not to develop them (that is left to third parties) "If you have to use an extension or a 3rd party program to do this for the most compatible audio format, then you have a problem." I do not see the slightest problem. "Besides, metadata application isn’t always consistent with WAV, such as when converting to it. Unicode is non-latin characters BTW." It depends on which converter you use obviously, I am aware that there are converters that do not handle metadata well. Like there are audio players that do not read the metadata of certain audio formats well. In my case, I use JRiver (my preferred player) to sometimes edit, convert and play in .wav as it does its job very well. I never use Latin characters, almost all my CDs are Asian and European. "It’s not just the spectrometer I’m talking about, but since you’re focusing on that alone it tells me you don’t know what phase investment is." I do not focus much on that tool because I consider it not very relevant on the subject. But I have Audacity already downloaded in case you want me to test again. "How hard is it for you to understand what lossless means?". I already answered that to you. I am not asking you to delete your BlazBlue music collection in .flac format. I'm not a cyber cop or anything like that. Best regards.

"@Galgadr comment. I totally agree with @Galgadr's comment. You could have done @ T_F_C12 from the beginning.
Haha It's pretty funny to see the Sheldonsuckz and HAYAKU gang members immediately cease their comments when I bring up their arrogance XD
I made my point and the uploader admitted that there were error with the rip. Nothing else to say about it on my end. What is truly funny is that you constantly check these comments waiting for our responses. Anyways, if someone didn't mention this to me I prob wouldn't have even seen it. Hope you have fun with your own community.
I know. And you keep responding XD
@Galgadr Silence UF, it's only because someone on Squid showed us your "last word entry". Also I stopped commenting here because it's not an ideal platform to present my points in as opposed to a forum. I've began messaging the uploader on Squid Boards where this whole thing started. My point has nothing to do with his upload, but with the terminology used as well as some of his other requests which as I've mentioned were absurd.
