I decided to try my hand at creating an upscale. I used mench's 480p rip, and upscaled each frame to double the size using [waifu2x](https://github.com/nihui/waifu2x-ncnn-vulkan). I was initially planning to use [video2x](https://github.com/k4yt3x/video2x) to do it automatically, but since DVD-format video is so funky I had to specify the FPS and aspect ratio in the ffmpeg commands, which meant I had to do everything manually.
Overall I'm fairly happy with how this upscale turned out. It doesn't look *that* much better than the raw, but it's definitely a noticeable improvement.
The good thing that with ESRGAN, you decompose the video into frames and you can segment the work and resume it when you like it best, avoiding excessive overheating of the video card, I use it for Openings & Endings and I take advantage of the Google Colab to do all the upscale work so my pc is free, experiment with what I tell you.
