@player707: In Japan they spread the series across volumes instead of single box for the whole series, probably mainly because they know fans will buy them and it makes them more money (there’s probably more reasons but that’s probably a major reason why).
@kagame1922 BD doesn’t have dimming (if TV had, didn’t really paid attention to this), and maybe some redraws but I don’t think anyone did comparaison yet
Not many differences for this Vol.1, but I think there will be a lot more for Vol.3 & 4 (and maybe 2?), since there were some production problems starting from episode 5-6 or so, etc…

This isn’t a movie, every anime except a few ones are released across multiple volumes. This is perfectly normal.
