@Clemons we don't care about speed or being first, and you're showing that you don't understand how any of this works and just how new you are. We put about the same amount of working hours into what a solo subbers puts into a release, maybe just a few hours more for things a solo subber might not do such as proper typesetting. Our team is international and staff for this project are in at least five different countries. This isn't an assembly line. It might take a staff member 12 hours to get to their position because it might be 12 am for them and have to sleep when the other staff member finishes their part at what might be 3 pm for them, but when they get to it, it'll still take around the same amount of time the job would take a solo subber. Having more people doesn't mean it makes things faster. It's just distributing the work across so nobody burns out and it has allowed us to pump out original translations since early 2018 with all the bells and whistles people have come to expect from fansubs since before the 2010s. Solo subbers come and go, but groups stay for long periods of time. I think solo subbers are great because it allows us to work without being harassed by all the impatient people who have never watched anime since before Crunchy Roll and official simulcast subs have been a thing. Solo subbing will always be faster because you don't have to wait on anyone, but it's a shitload more work and when you want to sub things for years on end, it very rarely works out well.
>spending countless hours to offer a higher quality release >striving to keep a consistent schedule throughout the whole series >coordinating half a dozen people from different countries and timezones But you still end up receiving "yikez you're so slow" comments and a handful of downloads anyway. Damn, people truly dislike quality.
@KoolKidsK you should know better than anyone that there no point to responded to comment like that
yikez you’re so slow (waits for houseki no kuni)
Love your subs! In the end, for me what stands out the most in fansubbing scene is when fansubbers have style (good sense) and I don't mean in a visual way only. I would describe this more like an umbrella term: spatially conscious and time-wise made decisions, ideas which come together as a final product. You can pretty much tell that straight away.
Ignore those shitty head people
You're doing your job good.
Thanks!
Been waiting for this, thank you very much!!
I have been grabbing fansubs since 2005, and I am commenting here. That should tell you all you need to know. Keep up the good work. I'll wait.

@Aryma Yeah, I know. I mainly wanted to get our stance on speed out there and let other people know how fansubbing as a whole works in case they weren't around back then.
Thanks for the hard work and dedication, [PAS] gang! ??♥️
Appreciate your work!
@KoolKidsK Quality >> Speed. Your subs are stellar. If you want speed please enjoy inaccuracies and skipped info. And even better, subs that refer to the dub, not the sub! Thanks for all your work, especially the signage, almost everybody skips it and your redraws are always top %. Thanks.
