I'll say it: I actually LIKE Gabi.

Well, I'd say the animation is very good. CG is better than WIT, I think. But WIT only used it for wide shots with horses and for the Colossal Titan, whereas in this episode they used too much of it. Judging from the trailer though, I think not all Titan fight scenes will rely this heavily on CG.

Did not expect this: these official subs are better then the fansubs. DDY made a lot of TL mistakes, some really silly. Like how they had the soldier in the bunker say "She's dragging something with her ankle" when he would have no way of seeing that. Also, if he saw that, he would shoot immediately. All the solder said was "she's dragging her foot", which implies he though she was injured.

@Machrischt I wouldn't say it's judgement unless they know no Japanese at all. Otherwise, how would they know which subs are correct? It's more of a fact. That is why. I know Japanese and the soldier did indeed only say Gabi was dragging her foot. Aside from that. The episode was really nice. They did reuse some old ost but it's good music and was fitting for the most part. The art looks amazing still. Character designs are different, but the quality and feel are the same as before. As far as animation goes... I dunno. It felt like it was as good as it needed to be, nothing more though. It was a good opening episode but I'm in the dark on a lot of things because I'm anime-only. The CGI felt like way too over the top. I didn't like it. Thinking of the Eren in Titan form being animated with CGI is too much to bear TT. Omg what are they gonna do about 3DMG? Levi's beyblade action? In that area, I'm very much not optimistic. But I love being proven wrong when it comes to this. In my book, it's not at all worth dropping. I'll enjoy the anime. I'll just be cringing often at the CGI, I'm sure. It's not as jaw-dropping as before. Or maybe it is, but in a different way. I can't think "how cool" with awe like when Reiner broke the first wall, when he fought Eren in Season 2 & 3. The way they animated it was so fantastic. CGI looks... polished and well-done, definitely. But no matter how good CGI looks in anime, I've never been a fan and never will. It was better when it was just horses and cannons. Too much CGI takes away from the overall quality and experience. I don't think they'll be toning it down in future episodes, even with backlash. Will they get backlash for it? I don't think they should.. But that's it from me, the talkative one.

I cant stand CGI it looks ugly why cant they ownly use it for the colossal titan -_- I hate how they did it for all the titans at some frames but atleast at some frames they dont stanking CGI btw thanks for the anime
