Orphan presents the first English-subtitled version of the charming 1984 TV special *Chiisana Koi no Monogatari: Chitchi to Sally Hatsukoi no Shiki* (*Little Love Story: Chitchi and Sally, Four Seasons of First Love*). It tells the story of a ~~vertically-challenged~~ short high school girl who falls in love with a much taller boy: ![screenshot](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1J5cWafcGQY/XxR5LSmV-hI/AAAAAAAAA-c/PIntRvY4_M4N-jkJ8BSwVOYiWziKxNKzACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/chiisana.take3_001_37303.png) The encode is a Domesday Duplicator rip from a badly rotted laserdisc. Video dropout is pretty evident toward the end of the second side. In addition, the audio track is badly distorted. To compensate in part, the release has two audio tracks: Primary - filtered laserdisc audio Secondary - resynced VHS audio, from the Gutsy Raws release For more information, see [this blog entry](https://collectr.blogspot.com/2020/07/chiisana-koi-no-monogatari.html). This release, and all Orphan releases, are available for direct download from IRC bot Orphan|Arutha in channels #nibl or #news on irc.rizon.net.

The synopsis kinda reminded me of [Lovely Complex](https://anidb.net/anime/5053)
> vertically challenged The sugar coated terms people give to words. ? Dunno what's wrong saying she's short. Thanks, though!
another obscure gift, thanks Orphan!

@Impakt - Because saying she's short isn't funny.
She's not short, she's basically a dwarf.

@archivisth Just saying "It tells the story of a short high school girl who falls in love with a much taller boy" doesn't ridicule anyone's height. Nothing about that sentence is funny. What are you even getting at? If anything, saying "vertically-challenged" just makes it sound super patronizing. If anyone called someone "vertically-challenged" I wouldn't be surprised if they deck them. Also, ever think that tall people might also feel insecure about their height? Why not just call them "vertically privileged" while we're at it? See how stupid that sounds?
Thanks, it's interesting to see such old obscure anime even in these times.
Thank you very much!
So cute. Gotta watch.

@Hermandshot - I <am> short; that's why I can joke about it. But I'll use the Strike Out If Not Applicable rule on the wording.
I enjoyed watching this anime. Chitchi is very cute. Maybe someone doesn't like the drawing style, but I like the design of this character. If ever there is a possibility I will buy an LD. Thank you for your release.
damn, she short
