@giftigkeit I don't like to share comparisons with other releases on the description for many reasons, maybe some will get confused about the real source and i think it's the most annoying one, anyway, [check this link](https://slow.pics/c/h5ep1450), On the SCY release they did use a weak sharp filter which was the reason behinde an apparence of some halos and ringing effects near to the edges, and which made also the noise more noticeable causing an increase on the file size, personally, i actually don't like sharpeners on such a good and high quality new source like that one. @Fares Yes, i'm waiting for the 3rd movie.

But I used the wrong kernel and rescaled the entire image, noise and all, which is why it looks the way it does (in hindsight, I would've done things very differently, because clearly it didn't work out). Not sure how much it increased the filesize, if any. I am not sure if Fate/Zero can be rescaled in the first place. But the main reason for the size of my encodes should be fairly obvious. My goal was to retain the grain as best as I could, both by allocating enough bitrate (unlike the majority of encodes) and by not denoising dark scenes whatsoever. The difference is [plenty visible](https://slow.pics/c/EoPdOW74) in any dark scene (or scenes involving motion).

@Scyrous Well i guess the insaneAA has an effect on the line darkening which makes it looks like a weak sharpener filtration. Btw, please dont get me wrong, i like to keep grain structure on most of my encodes just like you do, and if your encode doesnt have the ringing problem, i wouldn't even think to do mine.

@Paraexo Thanks for the release! @Scyrous if that was the case, will you ever do a v2 to fix the mistakes?
