  • So this a really fast encode. I have not seen the results at all. I hope it turns out good.
  • This is also the first time I am encoding WEB-DL, and someone in the source talked of it being upscaled so I added some settings to compensate that.

So I went through the first episode, and there is a lot of debandings, might be the problem with the source, but I think its mostly due to my settings!
Sorry people!

If you know it’s that bad, why don’t you delete it?
Also, since when is debanding a problem? You might be confusing it with being bitstarved.

bitstarved: Man the source was of around -b:v 2.8M and I kept it around that. For debanding, my releases never had that much of it and on a proper comparison, I found the source was banded as can be seen here https://slow.pics/c/EhZmrdYT. So the results were warned to people before they download it! BTW it’s not a shit release but it’s below par the encodes I generally release!

And for some reason, I wrote yesterday debanding insted of banding. Man I don’t know what was going on in my head!!

found better link for debanding

Enough me anyway thanks.:)

I found the source was banded as can be seen here

Just run it through f3kdb or vsplacebo while encoding.
Should be enough to fix the banding.
