A god among men.
The HEVC version is 10bit, while the ACV version is 8bit. So, no, they aren't quite the same.

@Weasalopes I see that you have eyes problem there @TTxKano HEVC = x265 = lower bitrate with comparable quality

@Weasalopes both releases are 10bit @TTxKano this was encoded at 16rf, the HEVC at 18.5. No major differences, either works.
why too much technicalities? just enjoy the main course hahaha btw thanks again judas♥
tnx judas ma boi
AVC versus HEVC encode? Comparing the two encodes with SSIM and PSNR gave these results: SSIM Y:0.994730 (22.782189) U:0.996510 (24.572094) V:0.996437 (24.481941) All:0.995311 (23.289657) PSNR y:51.035752 u:55.453352 v:55.195473 average:52.054590 min:40.294824 max:inf Most people can't tell the difference between two videos when the SSIM is over 0.99. The PSNR average is over 50, and the minimum is 40, so the difference for each still image is very minimal. If you can see a difference between the two videos side by side, you have better eyes than me. I can hear the difference between the Opus audio and the AAC audio, but most people won't.

**the reason I don't use opus nowadays (b/w thanks for release).
The x264 version should look better and the audio isn't reconverted. The x265 version is only worth it if you don't have the drive space for the x264 version.
>The x264 version should look better and the audio isn’t reconverted. >The x265 version is only worth it if you don’t have the drive space for the x264 version. the reason I'm moving to HEVC anime, they don't take up much space, that's all

@fucktoad Feel free to join the discord server and contact myself or EoE :) Thanks so much for the support everyone!
@eXmendiC At least according to the description, this one doesn't reencode to Opus. Also, why does x264 look better, educate me?
We <3 you Judas. Keep winning!
guys,i didn't noticed till my brother showed me,in this episode in the opening credits if you pause at 02:03 to 02:04 the scrolling girls are completely uncensored, you can see their fleshy flower. i apologize in advance if you did see it
@wattcy x265 has a tendency to re-use previous data instead of storing new data, more than it should, which leads to blurring & blending by default. This is probably a (small) factor in saving space at the expense of quality. OHOT, x264's defaults look decent for everything & doesn't have prediction/re-use issues. 10-bit will help to reduce artefacts for both, however. Quality seems to not be a major priority as some bugs remain unclosed after years https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/issues/349/bad-psy-rd-adoption-leading-to-banding . Also, the indian software development philosophy differs from western philosophy (where testing & quality are concerns). This can lead to bad results like the lengthly QuarkXpress OSX port fiasco in the early 2000s to more recent matters https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-06-28/boeing-s-737-max-software-outsourced-to-9-an-hour-engineers leading to actual disasters
