What software do you use for interpolation? I pretty much have to use some kind of interpolation on my OLED because the stutter during pans drives me nuts, and I don't want to use the TV's built in interpolation since it increases input lag to where it is noticeable when I move my mouse cursor. Best I have found so far (on the fly at least) is BlueSky FRC with an AMD GPU, nice and smooth without too many overly bad artifacts on fast motion. Mode 2 seems to be overall superior than Mode 1. Anyone else want to chime in other than saying that interpolation sucks? I'd prefer not to use it but it really is that bad on OLED without it.
@frankrizzo With respect to not saying interpolation sucks and remaining neutral on the topic, the most common form of interpolation software tends to be [SVP](https://www.svp-team.com/), this software can work in real time with various players like MPCHC and MPV, and has different rendering modes depending what type of media you're running (Film or Animation) as well as artifact masking and variable frame rate selection. There's also SVPtube and SVPcode, built into SVP, which can interpolate streams (assuming your player supports it, MPV does) and the latter can re-encode a video to higher frame rates like what is done on this torrent. Assuming you want a re-encoded interpolated video to watch on your TV, SVPtube is probably what you'd want.
@Astral I prefer BlueSky to SVP or DmitriRender, at least the last time I tried them all, SVP wasn't as smooth on pans and DmitriRender had more artifacts. That cyclic frame generation post from another torrent (https://github.com/alex04072000/CyclicGen) looks interesting but I don't have any idea how to implement it, and would prefer something on the fly instead of re-encoding.
