Suzumiya Haruhi no Taisei Super Blu-ray BOX / 涼宮ハルヒの大成ーSuper Blu-ray BOXー Complete Series BDRip
10-bit 1080p HEVC + FLAC, MKV format. ~ 1.9 GB / EP.
Embedded FLAC 5.1,official ENG audio track and ENG PGS.
This Suzumiya Haruhi complete series is made based on the BD box of Suzumiya Haruhi no Taisei, and we also add SP disc KAXA_2101_SP1 that is not in the box. The complete series contains the following contents:
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2009 TV sequence)
Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu
Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou
Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou
Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu & Nyoroon Churuya-san
Without compromising video/audio quality, we also arranged two additional versions of the series by selecting, separating and simplifying the contents. These two versions will be released a bit later:
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2006 Ver) only contains 14 episodes that were aired in 2006 and arranged as 2006 TV sequence, it also includes all SPs at that time. This version is ideal for someone who yearns for the 2006 experience.
Suzumiya Haruhi Simplified Ver only contains S1, S2 and the Movie. Files only contain Japanese audio track, and SPs and CDs are also vastly simplified. This version is ideal for someone who struggles with free disk space.
The Suzumiya Haruhi complete series is our most challenging and involving project. It was nominated and initiated back in mid-2017, then we blacklisted this project six months later because people had been hastening our progress, and the already-half-way-through project was abandoned. After the Kyoto Animation arson attack, we were in deep grief and decided to make a few KyoAni’s classic series as a token of remembrance. The Suzumiya Haruhi project was then removed from the blacklist and reinitiated. Tools and methods were much improved than two years ago.
The 14 episodes of 2006 version in BD source are known to have notoriously poor quality. The BD was upscaled from DVD with strong edge darkening and over-sharpening. These over-filterings resulted in lots of ringing and aliasing. We de-scaled the BD to lower resolutions, fixing the artifacts accordingly, then we upscaled the video using a more “soft” approach. Comparing to the BD source, the pictures look vastly different, with certain parts appearing less sharp than the BD source. These are intended effect from fixing artifacts and unifying visual quality. Please refer to the first five pairs of screenshots below for your judgement.
New contents in the 2009 version and the Movie are of near-ideal image quality. A few aliasing and banding can still be found, and we easily fixed them with mild anti-aliasing and de-banding.
PP for other SPs and Live are each treated separately according to their image quality. In general, if the source is good enough or we can practically fix it, we would do to a level that the image is visually acceptable; otherwise, we would de-scale files to its approximated original resolution to save as much bit-rate as possible.

Also didn’t notice how people were bugging you and your team in the release.
Everyone should just wait the fuck up and just let them take their time doing this. I’m glad you guys brought it back despite being pestered by impatient people.
I was literally thinking about Haruhi due to seeing Sugita promo of Haruhi in its Anniversary at Animelo this Summer.

Really nice share :).
Only one simple question @VCB-Studio, which is the ordering criteria for the first/second anime (2009). Chronological order? Airing order? I’m changing from an AVC release from the end of 2016 to this one, but i’m still with the 2009 anime (the second part, if you take it like that, after have seen the original 14 episodes of the 2006 anime, so i would love to know this to avoid me some trouble or headache).
Really huge work and effort, so a huge thank you to you involved with the project and everyone who’s sharing, allowing us to enjoy this amazing share :).
I really don’t like the english audio tracks, but i think i understand why most of the BD have them included, because they come along included in the BD, so i’ll be deleting them with MKVToolNix.
A huge hug ^^.

We’d like to have a brief explanation about the order in this series here.
We’ve released this series with three different packs: an all-in-one version, a 2006 version and a lite version. In the AIO version and the lite version, episodes are composed in chronological order, which is also the broadcasting order in 2009. They are made up by 14 episodes already broadcasted in 2006 and 14 episodes newly made in 2009.
And for these who really get fascinated, we prepared a special version to reflect the on air order in 2006, aka in random. That’s what the 2006 version is. It is totally a subset of the AIO version and you can totally ignore it if you don’t care.
The order of the 2006 version represented by the episode number in AIO version (based on 2009 sequence):
25 01 02 07 03 10 09 11 28 04 27 26 05 06
So 2009 ver basically reshuffled them and inserted new episodes. That’s why you get confused. If you want to find out more, please check the episode list on Wikipedia.
For the new comers who are quite confused, we recommend that you can just go ahead to the AIO version, TV first, then the movie. You may get more confused if you watch it in random order XD.

I’ve seen some recommend watching episode 25 first, but then watching the rest in chronological order. Would this be cool?
Thanks by the way!

I’ve watched it in the 2006 and DVD order, and 2006 order is superior in my opinion. I recommend watching in the original 2006 aired order, the mystery and build-up is part of the experience, and the end of the first season is a much more satisfying climax. The chronology is mixed up, but the character revelations aren’t. Watching Melancholy 6, which should be at the end of the first season, isn’t as big a payoff if you see it mid-season and haven’t gotten a full picture of Haruhi’s personality. If you don’t mind being confused for a while you get a better pay-off!
Thank you very much for all the effort and amazing quality put into this!

Will there be a h.264 version as well or no?

Thank you so much! ^^
