Tenchi S3 (and S4 very recent) are not "old ways" cells on film, but digital production, with no need of denoising. So, i have nothing to contribute on it (and i'll not do them), there is allready releases of S3 & S4, i suggest you take these. Slayers... Unfortunately, the BDJP are a total sh** ! It's an upscale, they probably used the DVD masters, video is 29.97, it's not a proper new film remaster at 24fps. Unless there is another BDJP of Slayers since the one i've seen, i don't know all... ^_^ But as a Slayers fan, it was a very very big disapointment.

Quiet, I wanted the S3 and S4 of your version because it has DTSHD audio, but if you don't think it's necessary, I respect your opinion, and thanks for your attention xD.

Thanks for this! Shame to hear about Slayers TV BD's, but probably one advantage is at least the Audio quality is better(I hope). Still, I hope you or someone else will still consider it! It's still one of the better ones for the TV series. At least the Movies already have BD's. Thanks for this share as always!

Unrelated but yeah, the Slayers BD is terrible, it doesn't look like a DVD remaster at all, I think they might have used VHS source... Definitely not film restoration. It's weird because I see the Japanese DVDs are released in 2006 which might have better quality. Has anyone seen the R2J DVDs? I just can't believe they're as bad as the BD, they were released in 2006. Feels impossible to look like VHS for something released in 2006 but who knows. Orphen's DVDs have good quality and are very watchable. Slayers afaik were much more popular than Orphen so it doesn't make any sense to me... I'm talking about this release: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/BCBA-2480?s_ssid=e32c555d6f151d219c The description doesn't say anything but I noticed that the page for Sailor Moon's DVDs from 2002 reads "remastered from a new print" (and it's a real restoration from the film). Maybe this is isn't something that studios universally specify, just noticed Slayers's release says nothing. Maybe they really aren't remastered though I'm really curious to see what the release from 2006 looks like.
