wasn't half the reason he did this because funi had blurry video while other sources were fine? if so, nauti's not really a viable alternative since their encodes are garbage.
Nauti said they were encoding from Amazon.
I did screenshot comparisons to Nauti and they didn't look that bad. Like I said in another torrent, they just did line darkening (which different people have different opinions on) and extremely heavy denoising. https://slowpics.org/comparison/008f319c-1848-4dcf-b322-0f7334495e8d
having way less bitrate (or maybe because of the heavy denoising) definitely killed a lot of detail in some of those comparisons where it's not just flat colors. just look at the line on the guy's shoulder in the 9th comparison. that line is completely fucked in their encode. HEVC is still not a good meme.
At any rate, it might still be better-looking than Funi due to the source, and it's certainly a better encode than HS's rip overall when you take into account filesize efficiency.
IMO, don't badmouth Funi. If Funi is a bad encode in terms of fidelity, then I don't know where you're going to find a good encode (outside of AoD or wakanim DL).
