This is the season 13 batch 2 with eps 441-458.
After episode no. 395 the episodes were completely reconstructed: deleted commercial, added the actual opening that was missing and filtered out the annoying CR halo effects from the video.
After episode no. 392 the source used is much better so the filesize is bigger.
Details:
- Video is 1920x1080.
- After 425 the 12th opening was added.
- The eps were made from a very good widescreen source from CR and done optimizations on them.
- English subs added to all of them. (Mostly CR subs in this batch, they are good for these eps)
- Audio: Japanese from CR webrip
- Video quality: 4500-6000 kbps
- Bit depth: 8 bit to make sure that most media players can play it
Season 13 deals with the imprisonment of Luffy’s brother Portgas D. Ace and Luffy’s attempt to infiltrate the great prison Impel Down to save him. Luffy meets several old enemies from his past in this arc, including Buggy the Clown, Mr. 2 (Bon Clay), and Mr. 3. There is also a 4 episode arc set outside the current continuity titled “A Gold Lion’s Ambition”, which serves as a prologue to the concurrently released One Piece Film: Strong World. This arc features Luffy and his crew’s run-in with a group of pirates hired by Shiki, the film’s main antagonist. Following this arc, the Impel Down storyline continues where it had left off.

@a1anne I don't know if you're saying this ironically. While you would be correct in the sense that One Piece never takes significant breaks, they do organize their episodes into seasons for the sake of keeping DVD/BD releases organized. You can see how it's organized on the Wiki here https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Home_Video_Releases . Sometimes their seasons cover an entire arc but other times it's as small as 12 episodes. https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/FUNimation_Entertainment/Episode_List_and_DVD_Releases FUNimation also organizes One Piece into seasons but it's organized differently, because unike the Japanese broadcast, they do release on a seasonal basis, so a season has it's traditional meaning. However, FUNimation seasons do more or less organize the series into arcs.
This can make it really confusing to talk about One Piece in seasons because if someone says Season 7 they might be talking about FUNimation's season 7 which is Japanese seasons 11, 12, and 13. Or they could be talking about Japanese Season 7 which is the early half of FUNimation's season 4. Because this is so convuluted, most people talk in terms of arcs, which is roughly organized by the fandom itself and is usually determined by what island they were on the whole time (This means Water 7 and Enies Lobby are two different arcs even though they follow the same storyline, however it is all considered one big Water 7 saga. Elaborations on that can be seen here https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Story_Arcs .
Viz technically organizes One Piece by arcs, but it's a really dumb format of organization that no one really considers. Like Sabaody and Amazon Lily are both the Sabaody Arc While everything from Fishman Island through Whole Cake Island is the New World arc.
a1anne: I wanted to stick to the original seasons and titles, when somebody watch this anime and see the whole picture you can clearly see these "breakpoints" or "arcs". Also it is better for the community who types "one piece season 2" in the search box not "one piece sabaody arc".
@RozDa Not to step in for him, but from my experience 8-bit seems to play better on Blu-Rays than 10-bit. 10-bit'll play on a Blu-Ray, but it can't seem to keep up with the encoding and you'll get a bunch of lost bunches of data, resulting in pink blobs and sometimes dropped frame rates. You can see what I mean by taking a 8-bit and 10-bit file and playing it on a Blu-Ray yourself.
Now granted, most people are going to be playing these episodes from VLC on their PC, so it shouldn't matter if it can play on a Blu-Ray. But it's still nice to have that option I suppose.
