Unless the source was like that, there's little point in using 1024kps EC3, since 640kps AC3 or 448kps AAC is transparent.

I'm afraid you misunderstood the question. The point is that there isn't really any point in sharing bloated-bitrated Lossy versions unless that is literally what was in your source itself, untouched. If the source was 24bit FLAC or WAV, either share that, or share a lossy encode at a *reasonable* transparent bitrate. You've done the worse of both worlds by providing an audio track at an unnecessary filesize, AND introduced unnecessary further generation loss for anyone wanting to make that filesize reasonable. I don't want to give the wrong impression, though - the video encode is very much appreciated! I may at a later date do an audio-release containing streams from a bluray source, and OPUS re-encodes (192kbps for stereo, 384kbps for 5.1), timed for this release.
