This is AVC or HEVC? 10bit or 8bit? Any problem if I took the chapters of this episodes to put on my muxes?

@Kamyne x264 10bit. And sure, if you can make it work. Not like I could stop you.
@PA-Subs Ok, but if you don't want, just say to me: don't took this caps, and I'll not took, because I don't want steal anything from anyone. Well, if you use x264 10bit, why you don't put this video information on the episode name or on the release description? For example, your episode are supposed to be: [PAS] Magical Girl Site - 04 [BD 720p x264 10bit qAAC] Not like I care about it, just asking for curiosity. Anyone replied you on my upload of Mahou Shoujo Site episode 1, in case you don't have seen it.
@Kamyne [BD 720p x264 10bit qAAC ASS Aegibus torques-dumb-script-dump AdobeIllustrator MochaPro mkvtoolnix notepad torrentcreator] No one gives a fuck about tools fansubbers use as long as end result is reasonable and playable. That's why hardly anyone tags it as qaac (because tagging AAC would suffice) or x264 (h264/AVC would suffice). The codecs/standards may be relevant but stuff like mkv, h264, 10bit, ASS are usually omitted because everyone uses that nowadays for eng fansub and if you can't play that back you're probably unable to play most of other fansubs and should be looking for some special ones, not default/untagged.
@zsax Yes, but I talked just about "x264" and "10bit" who I think it's relevant, because the episode can be AVC or HEVC, and can be 8bit or 10bit. Why "10bit" is not relevant on the name? Peoples like to know about it, not? 8bit -> play on TV, 10bit -> not play on TV. "x264" is relevant too, because are peoples who like x264 and anothers who like x265, anyway, fuck, this is an annoying conversation, I guess. Just put the name that you want and done.
> 8bit -> play on TV, 10bit -> not play on TV Because ASS->not play on TV yet no one's gonna tag that. If you want to play it on TV you're probably looking for potato-friendly releases and you won't normally get them from fansub groups. > “x264” is relevant too, because are peoples who like x264 and anothers who like x265 People also like kfx, honorifics, macrons, margins in subtitles, particular fonts, em dashes, manual linebreaks, debanded video etc. Also, one of my points in previous post was that you're supposed to tag it as h264/h265 or AVC/HEVC if you want to mention video codec, not as x264/x265.
Thanks unrelated but Made in Abyss isn't dropped right?
Thank you! Looking forward to more of this series. <3
@zsax No, I don't want to play anime videos on TV, but another peoples can want do. Don't fuck with me, I talked about relevant stuffs. I think bit depth and encoder is relevant to mention, it's just my opinion. Why not "x264" and yes "h264"? What's difference between both in relevance? x264 is relative at h264, so is the same to say.
@DR3AMKiiLL3R It's not, there's a post on the site. @Kamyne > No, I don’t want to play anime videos on TV, but another peoples can want do. Again, these people probably can't render ass subs either but you aren't asking for that [ASS] tag somehow > I think bit depth and encoder is relevant to mention, it’s just my opinion. They may be and that's something you can sometimes find in detailed description or on group's site. Not a lot of fansubbers will agree that it's a good idea to put "10bit" in the name of the every single release they have*. *except some remuxes but they aren't that common and it's usually explicitly mentioned in description. > Why not “x264” and yes “h264”? What’s difference between both in relevance? x264 is relative at h264, so is the same to say. x264 is a tool that produces h264-compliant video streams, same way that MSPaint or Canon 5d mark II produce JPEG files. When you want to say manga scanlations are in png format you just say they are in png format, not Adobe® Photoshop®-encoded png format. Besides, sometimes uploader won't even know it h264 video was produced using x264 or something else.
@zsax Okay, all of it is personal question, personal likes. I prefer put x264 and 10bit on my episodes, because Beatrice-Raws (my favorite raw group) do it. Except for 10bit, that Beatrice not put on your episode names. But here in this release, PAS not mention "x264 10bit" on the episode name and not on the description, for what I asked. About TV, if one is able to play matroska files, it also can play .mks (matroska subtitles format) that is equal .ass. I share ass and mks on my releases, with ass putted on the episodes and mks as out option to peoples choose the subs type. I like combination between mkv, mka and mks, but mka is reserved as default extension to TrueHD or DTS-HDMA/X, but this is out of this discussion, I think, so... I think strange that Beatrice use x264 to AVC but not use x265 to HEVC, she also use HEVC to HEVC, well... names really are something personal. So, I can took the chapters of this episodes or not? You're Chyuu-PAS staff?

Hi. Uh, I just tag stuff that I feel is relevant to a leecher searching an index of releases to choose from. x264 and 10bit are the norm established by almost every competent fansubbing group that's operated since at least 2013 or so, I think, so I don't feel the need to tag them. In this case, I think people are interested in the source of the encode, resolution and audio codec. qAAC is just an AAC encoder but I feel it's not the most obvious one to use and I don't think you can tell which AAC encoder was used in the mediainfo, so I tag it so people know. It's probably dumb but I don't really care. Also, yes, feel free to use the chapters. I don't care. I trimmed the m2ts to match up with our TV release so I didn't have to retime anything or shift anything, so you're on your own if it doesn't match up with your encode. Also uh, Chyuu-PAS is just a joint tag. We're separate groups. Chyuu is Chyuu. PAS is PAS. Chyuu-PAS is Chyuu and PAS.
@PA-Subs All right, I understand. Thanks for the chapters, but you don't have the chapters of the all 12 episodes, do you have?

@Kamyne No. I haven't made them yet. I make them at the very last step of the subbing process, right before I mux everything.
@PA-Subs Fine. Maybe I'll have do took them from someone else or make it myself. Thanks anyway.
Hun just make the damn chapters yourself, it isn't hard.
Please tell me that you guys are working on the other volumes. I dont want to see HS sub.
