Minna tomodachi! Minna wakaokami!

Wakaokami wa Shougakusei! is a series of twenty children’s books published between 2003 and 2013. It received a manga adaptation between 2006 and 2012 and then both a TV anime and theatrical anime adaptation this year.

The movie is standalone and takes the story in a unique and, in my opinion, much more powerful direction, its stated goal being to explore Okko’s relationship with her deceased parents. The TV anime was good, but when I watched the movie, I thought its story was the natural and better way to do develop and conclude Okko’s story. Like the TV anime, Garuru from PriPara is featured in a major supporting role.
