Some minor errors have been fixed. Those who have downloaded the previous version only need to download the revised files:
[Guodongsubs][Mo Dao Zu Shi][Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation][ASS].zip
[Guodongsubs][Mo Dao Zu Shi][Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation][15][HEVC_AAC][English Sub].mkv
Differences between the original soft subs (folder [English Sub]) and the revised version (folder [English Sub][Revised]):
Modifications to the visuals and soundtrack made by CMay Studio after initial release.
thank you so much for working on this guys, this has been one of the best donghua I've ever seen and I'm so glad that a high quality and reliable subbing group like you handled it ;-;
Thanks a lot!
I've a question. Whenever I watch one of the [Revised] episodes, after one line of the subs ends, the original Chinese letters appears briefly. Why does it happen? Thank you a lot!
i can't remove the Eng or chines Sub is there any way to remove it ?
i add other sub so both of them on each other not good for me
and i dont know which one i have to download i mean i want the original one with out any sub but all of them have sub
The torrent’s (and more generally the release’s) structure is very confusing with multiple versions of the same files and a mix of external and internal subtitles.
To watch with English subtitles, download the HEVC folder. It has English hardsubs. This requires a HEVC-capable video player.
If your video player does not support HEVC, or if you want Chinese hardsubs with English softsubs, download the Revised folder. Inside the folder you’ll find a ZIP file (archive): extract this file into that same folder. After this, you’ll find three TTF files (fonts) in the folder: install them if you want the subtitles to be set in stylized fonts. But if you don’t know how to install fonts, that’s not a big problem; you can also watch without them.
If you’ve already downloaded the Revised folder but don’t have English subtitles, extract the ZIP archive as I mentioned above. ↑
There’s no way to remove all subtitles from this release. Either Chinese or English subtitles are hardcoded in every version. I assume this show aired with Chinese subtitles hardcoded in the first place.
Finally, I have no idea why anyone would want the unrevised folder any more. Also, if you have previously released unrevised files, the uploader’s original comment says you only need to download the revised version of the last episode, but actually all or most of the video files are different between the unrevised and revised folders.
There’s one difference between the softsubs (the Revised folder) and the hardsubs (the HEVC folder): the full-screen Chinese text in episode prologue stays visible in the softsubs, and the English text appears on top, overlapping; while in the hardsubs, the Chinese text is hidden and only the English text is visible.
So if you want prettier English subtitles and don’t care for Chinese subtitles, the HEVC version is best.
(Tech-savvy users might be able to hide the Chinese text in the softsubs by installing VSFilterMod, which is included in the ZIP archive, and changing the Comment lines that contain \1img to Dialogue lines. But you shouldn’t keep VSFilterMod as your main subtitle renderer, as it will break and slow down other releases.)
