I wanted to read Konosuba novels for a long time and finally decided to do so. As I looked it up, I haven't found any full compilations of the series. What I found was either taken down, some had lacked something (images, short stories, etc.). So before reading, I decided to compile everything myself. Note that this is not my translation and all credits are included in the torrent.
All the images on the files are uncompressed, so some of the file sizes are big. Also, Dust spin off is not here, because even first volume is not finished yet. In the "Notes" file you will find all the credits, as well as some misc notes from translators, which I decided are important to include. As for reading order (main series, spin-offs), its also included in the torrent under "Reading Order".
Please seed as long as you can and happy reading!
@komugi why is that? If you have windows 10, Edge opens it by default. Don't know about previous Windows versions. Also, there are lot of readers for Android and iOS.
@Hiki These notes were unrelated to the story itself, so I just included them separately, They are not that important to the story, just important in general
@komugi epub is way better then PDFand faster to open. I use to prefer PDFs myself till I gave epubs a try (prob can still find comments by me asking for PDFs on here) and not looked back unless there's no epubs available. Have you tried out SumatraPDF? It reads epubs (and pdf's, cbz, cbr) and it's a fast program, easy, free and open source. Portable version available. https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/free-pdf-reader.html
Works on Windows 10 if people got that spy OS.
@ Asakura
I do not use windblows 10 ... I had that on a previous computer and it blows goats as bad as vista did ....... on the laptop I have now I am running windows 7 (yes you can special order laptops with 7 on them instead of 10)
I normally do all my reading on my android tablet ... using MoonReader ... and I have found that too often an epub will just stop reading, it will start to load then it aborts ....... I have not had that problem with any pdf files I have wanted to read on my tablet
btw, I use Foxit Reader on my laptop and it also always works with any pdf files I have ... (I don't like the security problems built in to the Adobe software)
if anyone knows of a better epub reader that MoonReader for android ... I am open to suggestions
@Asakura
I had never heard of that reader ... I'll give it a try ... thank you for the feedback :-)
@ Matrim
I had been told that ... that MoonReader was the best epub reader for android ... I am not impressed, too many problems with it not working
@ Hikove
Sumatra is a windows app ... I am running android on my tablet
Anyone else experiencing the issue with none of the images other than the Cover image showing up properly in their epub files? I've only looked at Volumes 5+ but they all seem to have that issue for me. Had to go with another epub source to have proper images.
@deanzel This is late, but checked all the files before releasing. But just to be sure, I checked volume 6 at random and both on PC and my android phone, images are displaying correctly. What reader are you using?
Well, I have them loaded into iBooks and both on my Mac and on my iPad, images don't seem to work. I've also tried viewing them in MoonReader+ on my Android phone and didn't have any luck. I just went with another epub source for the fan translations that was working for me.
Just tried MoonReader+ on android, every image works fine... I don't have any iDevices, so can't test that. Maybe your download was corrupted or something.
Thanks for the collection, wanting to read them but just can't force myself to read them on browser.
Also, if there's still someone who's still looking for ebook or pdf reader, if you don't mind doing something quite roundabout, I think 'google play book' is quite a valid choice. You could store the books there first, and then download them to read later. And because the file is from and in their database, don't expect anything less from what's supposed to be inside the file itself.
I wanted to say Thank You for these, I'd also like to ask about updates (as well as other "specials" for example, the dust side story) as well.
I just started reading these, in my spare time, on my phone (Samsung Note8) using Freda (also tried moon+reader, didn't quite care for the user interface much for the short time i tried using it), only 6% into first volume but so far no issues that I'm aware of. I will say though, I havn't seen any images aside from the book cover before i "go into" the book and page 1, but I don't know if there's supposed to be either.
Thank you so much! The download speed was amazing (1mb/s) and I've opened and stared reading the first volume, no problems to report, also thank you for the order in which they came out, you did a nice job :)
@asakura I tried Adobe Digital Editions, Honeyview, SumatraPDF, Cover, Calibre and I just can't get it to work. I tried redownloading 3 times and still pictures don't show up for me? Is there any other software I could try?
when are you gonna update these :-
1. Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World ! Bonus Story remaining second volume ( Selfish Busters/Wagamama Basutaazu ),
2. KonoSuba: That fool is also in the spotlight! Extra and it consists of total 7 volumes for now ...
3. Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World ! it's remaining volumes( 13-17)
Reading all this in a browser is such a drag
I don't recommend downloading this, or at least the volumes that were already translated officially.
Unofficial translation is bad, sentence flow is often jarring or weird, and it contains many errors. Sometimes completely wrong words are used, which results in whole sentences losing any meaning until you figure out which word is wrong and guess what is supposed to be there.
Examples:
this torrent:
"In the room was an office desk and a chair, and the one who announced that my life was over sat on said chair.
If there was a goddess, she had to be it.
Her beauty was beyond the idols shown on television; she had a glamour that surpassed humans."
official:
"There was a little desk and a chair, like you’d find in an office.
And sitting in the chair was the person notifying me of the end of my life.
If there are such things as goddesses, the woman in front of me certainly qualified.
She was more than just “cute” like the pop stars on TV—no human could match her beauty."
